Cobus Erasmus (b. 1994) is a South African artist known for his oil paintings that merge classical techniques with contemporary themes. Initially studying Civil Engineering at the University of Pretoria, he later pursued art, training at the Florence Classical Art Academy in 2019. His work focuses on the human form, anatomy, and the balance between liberty and restraint, characterized by expressive color and gesture. In 2023, he was a Top 25 Finalist in the ARTi Gallery Art Competition for his piece Blue. Erasmus continues to develop his unique artistic style, blending tradition with modern expression.
