Two Oceans Aquarium - DIVING

If you have never scuba dived before, or are simply curious to see the sub-tropical ocean from the inside, then diving inside the I&J Ocean Exhibit is for you! This exhibit is home to a variety of warm-water-loving animals that are home to South Africa’s East Coast – giant short-tail stingrays, friendly rehab sea turtles, schools of batfish and more.

Robben Island

Once “home” to some of South Africa’s most famous political prisoners, including Nelson Mandela, Robben Island is one of South Africa’s most visited tourist attractions. The island was declared a World Heritage Site in 1999.

Kirstenbosch Gardens

This peaceful garden grows indigenous plants exclusively. Stroll through fynbos, cycads and proteas. Sunday musical concerts are held at sunset during summer.

Hout Bay Harbour

An old authentic fish factory in a working harbour where local traders exchange banter with customers. Enjoy some of the freshest seafood at the Mariner’s Wharf. The Bay Harbour Market has stalls offering wonerful food, art, craft, fashion, decor and music.

Seal Island Boat Tour

A 40-minute scenic excursion to Duiker Island, home to a squad of blubbery, bewhiskered cape fur seals. Snap away at the doe-eyed pups and their slick and slippery parents barking out warnings. The glass-bottomed boats offer a convenient porthole through which to spy the seals zipping past underwater.

World of Birds

The largest bird park in Africa with over 3000 birds and small animals in landscaped walk through aviaries.

Cape Winelands

Less than an hour’s drive from Cape Town’s city centre, the wine routes offer visitors picturesque scenery, friendly hospitality and excellent wines. Most estates have daily wine tasting, cellar tours and sales – some by appointment only – and there are many choices when it comes to wine route tours.

MOUNTAIN BIKING

With its breath-taking mountain ranges and rolling hills, Cape Town and its surrounds is a mountain biker’s heaven. Near countless trails dot the landscape from Table Mountain to Stellenbosch, Paarand beyond offering stunning routes for riders of all skill levels
