Marco Grassi (b. 1987, Reggio Emilia, Italy) is an Italian painter known for his hyper-realistic and surreal portraits of women. Initially trained in restoration at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, he developed a self-taught painting style influenced by Renaissance and Baroque art. His works blend meticulous realism with baroque textures and melancholic expressions, creating a silent dialogue between subject and viewer. Grassi has exhibited internationally, including at the Venice Biennale, and held solo shows in Milan, New York, and London. He currently lives and works in Lugano, Switzerland.
